Pregnancy and Childbirth Research

The Birthing Naturally Select Reference List

We are constantly building on our knowledge and understanding of the pregnancy and childbirth process. We have access to medical tools promising to start, stop, monitor and otherwise manage pregnancy and childbirth with ease.

The question we, as parents, have about our options is how helpful will this option be for me? Before we make a decision or write a birth plan, we do our best to discover "Is this safe? Is this effective?"

In this section of birthing naturally you will find selected summaries of the findings of childbirth research. You will also discover ways to seek out more research to complete your preparations. When possible, the research abstract is linked to the summary.

I encourage you to share sources of research you have found with other Birthing Naturally readers. Please share the title of the study, and where it was published so I can gather information and post it here. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
