Shrimp Marinara

Ingredients

8 oz medium shrimp
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 Tbs chopped green pepper
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 Tbs veggie oil
8 oz tomato sauce
3 oz tomato paste
1/2 cup water
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/8 tsp black pepper
8 oz pasta

Procedure

  1. In large skilled, cook onion, bell pepper and garlic in hot oil until tender.
  2. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, water and seasoning. Cover and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add shrimp.
  3. Cover and simmer about 3 minutes or until shrimp are tender. Serve over pasta.

Serves 4. Per Serving: Calories 375; Calories from fat 76(20%); Fat 24g; Carbohydrates 54g; Sugar 7g; Fiber 4g; Protein 21g
