Healthy Pregnancy Cookbook
Shrimp Marinara
Ingredients
8 oz medium shrimp
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 Tbs chopped green pepper
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 Tbs veggie oil
8 oz tomato sauce
3 oz tomato paste
1/2 cup water
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/8 tsp black pepper
8 oz pasta
Procedure
- In large skilled, cook onion, bell pepper and garlic in hot oil until tender.
- Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, water and seasoning. Cover and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add shrimp.
- Cover and simmer about 3 minutes or until shrimp are tender. Serve over pasta.
