A (Healthy) Romantic Dinner

There is no reason you can't have a romantic dinner with your sweetie just because you are pregnant. You may want to skip the traditional chocolates and decadent desserts, but there are still some great options for special foods.

When planning a romantic dinner, think about the foods you enjoy most. Once you have a list, focus on the foods which will provide you with the best source of protein. Accompany that food with a whole grain and a variety of fruits and vegetables.

To give you some ideas, I scanned my favorite cookbooks and some on-line sites. The following are romantic dinners I might make for my sweetie.

An Easy Cook at Home Menu

Beef and Broccoli
Pecan Rice
Spinach Salad or Mandarin Salad
Chocolate Pudding

A Little Lighter

Tomato Quiche
Summer Rice Salad
Sauteed Green Beans
Apple Salad

Slightly Exotic

Moroccan Lentil Soup
Cashew Salad
Wheat Bread with Flax Seed

Enjoy your meal!
