Exercises for Natural Childbirth

If you are preparing to give birth, there are a few exercises you will want to be sure to include in your daily routine (You will find them listed, linked to directions directly to your left). These exercises are not difficult to learn, complicated to practice or tiring to complete. In fact, you will probably find these exercises actually help you stay more comfortable during pregnancy.

These exercises have been practiced by natural childbirth mothers for years because they prepare the muscles of your body you will be using to give birth. They strengthen your pelvic floor and keep your hips and pelvis flexible. They stretch and lengthen the muscles of your back and legs to prevent backaches now and to help you stay comfortable in effective pushing positions while giving birth.

To fully prepare for a natural childbirth, you will want to add to these exercises practice in a variety of comfort measures for labor. This will help to ensure your body is ready for all the challenges a natural childbirth can include.
