Childbirth Meditations: Feel

Stop for a moment and consider yourself. What does it feel like to be you?

There is an interesting phenomenon with the sense of touch - our body feels differently when we are touched by someone else than it does when we touch ourselves.

If there is too much sensation, too much pressure, your body forms a callous to protect itself and then you cannot feel anything in that spot.

The way you feel physically and the way you feel emotionally are strongly connected. Each one affects the other.

Sometimes our lives are directed by what we feel and that is good - removing your hand from a burning stove protects you from harm. Sometimes our lives are directed to move beyond what we feel and that is good - acting despite fear allows us to accomplish new things.

Are you more concerned with the way you feel or the way other people feel?

Every inch of your body is capable of feeling. Inside and out, your body is designed to feel everything that happens in and around it.

Encouraging words for you

"Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts. " - Albert Einstein
